"Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards." — Søren Kierkegaard

About Me

My journey with mental health began long before I had the words to describe it. Like many of you, I've navigated the complex terrain of anxiety, depression, and the everyday challenges of maintaining well-being in a world that often seems designed to undermine it.

I'm not just a therapist.

I’m a researcher, a compassionate listener, and someone who believes that mental health deserves the same attention, care, and open discussion as physical health.

I’m not afraid to say that I’ve been on both sides of the therapy couch.

What I Offer

Through this newsletter, I provide:

Evidence-based insights that translate psychological struggles into practical wisdom you can apply today.

Compassionate perspective from someone who understands that mental health journeys are rarely linear.

A judgment-free community where your experiences are validated and your questions are welcomed.

Actionable strategies that fit into real life—because theoretical advice only goes so far.

My Approach

I believe mental well-being isn't about achieving perfection. It's about developing a toolkit of resources, insights, and practices that help you navigate life's inevitable ups and downs with greater resilience and self-compassion.

About twice a month, I share content that's thoroughly researched but warmly delivered—like getting advice from a knowledgeable friend rather than reading a textbook.

Why Subscribe?

When you subscribe to this newsletter, you're not just getting information—you're joining a community of thoughtful individuals committed to better understanding themselves and supporting others.

My Promise

I won't pretend to have all the answers. I won't oversimplify complex issues. I won't recommend quick fixes for challenges that deserve nuanced attention.

What I will do is show up consistently with honesty, empathy, and useful information that respects your intelligence and honors your unique experience.

I will also show up as myself. A flawed human being with scars, broken places, and as someone who’s been on both sides of the therapy couch.

Yep, I’ve got stories.

In my spare time, I run a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of feral, stray, and abandoned cats.
